| About our authors... Alexandra Chester, described by her students as “a wonderful teacher and superb communicator”, has taught in schools and colleges in the US and England. Alexandra writes Liberty Hall's Word Processing books and has devised many assignments for our exercise books and discs.

| Nicola Legood
came to teaching from a career in accountancy. She brings
the same energy to writing her finance books as she does to her teaching.
“Getting started with Sage is so good it should be given away free with
every Sage package,” said one teacher.

| Bob Hudson's
interest in computing began when he worked as a research
physicist. He later taught computing, and for many years ran a large
department in an FE College. He set up Liberty Hall 8 years ago with his
daughter Jennie. Bob writes on all aspects of IT and computing and
specialises in databases. He aims to de-mystify computing and make it
accessible to all

| Jennie Hudson
has a degree in Information Technology and Sociology and a
qualification in Graphic Art. She briefly worked in banking and taught IT
part time whilst Liberty Hall was young. Jennie now writes our Computer Art,
Desk Top Publishing and Front Page books, between having babies.

| Chris Doolan's book on Programming was described by one GNVQ
co-ordinator as “the finest he had ever seen”. We think her books on
Networks are pretty good too. Chris teaches programming and computer
networks at all levels to HND, and particularly enjoys teaching women
returners.

| Mike Wilman writes and edited our AVCE Business books on Marketing - a
subject he has taught for many years at FE and HE levels. He is presently
part of the Southampton Business School and a regular contributor to IT
journals and magazines. Mike is also a consultant to several leading IT
companies.

| Martin Emmett
has taught Business Studies in schools and colleges for
more than 20 years. A dedicated and conscientious teacher, Martin brings
these same qualities to Liberty Hall's Business books.

| Monica McDowell
has had a wide range of teaching experience from primary
to University level and has worked in both Australia and the UK. When not
following her husband around the world looking at rocks (he's a geologist)
she writes our Spreadsheet workbooks.

| John Baldry has taught management in FE since 1990, specializing in
aspects of Personnel.

| Roger Valentine
has taught computing since 1985, He has written numerous
books, articles and computer programs and, for relaxation, writes web pages!
Roger writes Liberty Hall's books on all aspects of the Internet.

| John Ayres is a BTEC moderator who worked in FE for 20 years and taught
computing at all levels to HND. Whilst at college John also managed the
Management Information System (MIS). He has written several of our GNVQ and
AVCE books

Bruce Wilkinson was a research physicist and more
recently chief engineer for a software company. Bruce writes Liberty Hall's
books on Web Sites and Web Site Design. |
